Joyce Holsopple, LMH
First and foremost, I’m human, just like you. My education, different jobs along my career’s path and various life experiences along the way have included a melting pot of fascinating family members, friends and co-workers. They spanned different cultures, age ranges and settings from a day care nursery, a florist, the corporate world, to finally mental health counseling.
All of which helped create a well-rounded, compassionate, empathic, open-minded person and counselor. I understand life is messy. People do not come with handy little instruction manuals. The events in our lives can seem overwhelming and, in some cases, confusing. Counselors can help you navigate through the confusion and other stumbling blocks life can throw at us.
I realize that for some of us deciding to seek out counseling can be scary. The good news is, if you’re reading this, you’ve already taken the hardest part, the first step, which is looking for a counselor. Someone who can help you through the journey.
I am here as someone who wants to help you work through the issues with different tools and skills from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness and other problem solving techniques that help individuals with whatever issues life may throw at us.
